I love playing with the ant lions! I'll occasionally chuck an ant in one and watch the ant lion go. I also have once picked one out to see what it looked like and it was super cool. I was in Illinois when I found them.

We get these in parts of the UK. Super cool little predators. They kind of remind me of the sarlac pit in starwars

Gotta love antlions. Saw the enemies in terraria, found out they were real, and thought they were awesome ever since.

I remember these from my childhood!
In Kerala, children actually used to dig them up😅 ( kinda bad now that I think about it😕)
When you put them on a dark surface, you could see them walking backwards, and it used to be fascinating for us

I love these things! I have them where I live and I like dropping ants in their holes and watching the ants get eaten. It’s kinda like the sarlacc from Star Wars🤣

Ant lions were the inspiration for one of the alien monsters in the fantastic but underrated 80s movie, enemy mine.

HUH. aside from being an insect this thing hunts like trapinch from pokemon. just not on a scale that causes sandstorms
