Honestly dpi/cpi deviation is a non-issue. Once you use a mouse enough, you customize your sensitivity until it feels right. How close 800dpi setting is actually close to 800dpi is irrelevant.

Here guys.

-Viper ultimate v2 wireless with 4K hz
-Pulsar x2 or their 2023 models releasing in spring
-Mice that have PAW3395 sensors are top tier.

i'm pretty sure you should keep the dpi and change your ingame sensitivity to what you like, rather than the other way around. Maybe keep it at 800 for a few weeks and tweak the ingame settings, see if you like it?

Edit: my dpi is 3200 and i just turn it way down in game.

Asus has been one of the only companies in the mainstream that adopt swappable switches. The fact that this doesn't have that disappoints me to no end

These mouse reviews are always nice but the one thing that I now look for in my gaming mice is the quality of the button switch, because every mouse that I've owned in the past 2 decades has worn out its button switch before anything else goes wrong with it. I'm talking 8+ mice. The only mouse I've found that has a new and unique switch is the SteelSeries Prime series. They invented a completely new type of switch that uses a real coil spring plus magnet and optical sensor. All other mice on the market (including Razer's optical one) use the antiquated "tiny thin piece of metal" that wears out fast. I can't look at any other mouse now--no matter how many interesting features they have--because they still use those awful old switches for the buttons.

I know this sounds like a ad for SteelSeries but if anyone can show me another mouse that has a new type of switch that's designed not to fail, I would be happy to hear that.

For me it always gave me a lower dpi and much much lower sens than I prefer. I think it’s optimized more towards arm aimers than wrist

For that price (180$ in my country) they should include that mousepad with the mouse considering the mouse marked is becoming really competitive with offerings from Razer, Pulsar etc. That way they are really selling a complete package. Instead of buying the mousepad (40$) separate when most of us already have one or two mousepads we are already satisfied with (Artisan, LGG Venus Pro...).

And personally I enjoy setting up my new mouse with DPI and gameplay. I've been doing it for years and it's basically muscle memory now. But maybe this would be nice for people trying out gaming and wanting to find their best settings? But then again, who would pay up to 200$ for that starting out?

Personally I feel a mouse is like a steering wheel. It's intuitive and you will not notice how much you move it, just react to how much it moved and correct instantly without thought

One issue is most pro player would have a raw input, with way more custom-preferences when it comes to mouse and mousepad regardless how usefull the tech from this collab. But Asus still a cool company with money to spend for crazy ideas like this.

DPI deviation only matters if you change your mouse a lot imo.

Wasn't it proven better to set very high dpi on mouse and low sensitivity in games ?

Hope this doesn't use that cheap glue like the Asus Rog Gladiator mouse I got.

Can you click the dam mouse instead of waving it around? We want to hear how it sounds

This channel isn't the first one I think of when it comes to new mice content, but Dimitri never lets us down when it comes to busting out some headshots when necessary.

I usually play with 5000dpi and ingame mouse sensitivity settings of 0.04 - 0.06 for ultra smooth movement. Especially for games like Squad the aim movement is much better than with low dpi and 1.0 mouse ingame setting.

turn dpi up and turn down sense for more precise aim. dpi effects the precise movements of your reticle

Using the DAV3 8K HZ it works great for me

You should really double the DPIs and halve the sensitivity.
The higher DPI settings the better for latency.
1600 is the point of diminishing returns
