NASA Finds The Farthest Star in the Universe!

Hubble has found the farthest star in the universe. This star has been named WHL0137-LS or Earendel. Earendel is 50 times bigger than our Sun and over a million times brighter. It is located 12.9 billion light-years away which means light took 12.9 billion years to reach us.

Astronomers believe that due to its massive size Earendel must have died billions of years ago in a supernova and we're only seeing the light once released by it. Earendel was born when the universe was very young only about 6 percent of its current age.
