13 billion years.
Wonder how many millions of civilizations lived and died in the planets orbiting the star.

When the James Webb Space Telescope starts looking back into the early Universe, It is going to see galaxies; the Universe (all the mass in a small, maybe earth sized) became, for a short time, a Galaxy Creating Machine! The first thing that happened during the the big bang (the big split-up), was one huge spiral galaxy got created in between both Sides pushing full blast against each other (We should all know because We all had to >smile< choose sides back then and probably push with all our might! We all (all the Beings in this Universe) knew what was happening; We were all there; We are all eternal; where else would We all have been with our Awareness & Consciousness, We had no form.) creating that first large galaxy with one very large black hole in the middle)! The tremendous stress blew both Sides into countless Pieces, each Piece pushing on those next to it creating more (much smaller) spiral and elliptical galaxies, and other matter. The progenitors (the Universe in pieces) that created all this are Quasars now. Most Quasars pushed each other to the edge of the universe. From there they control both parts of the Universe, the physical and the light. They are responsible for gravity in the physical and the speed of electromagnetic waves… Some Quasars stalled and remained in the physical Universe. The JWST will allow Us to understand what happened back then. We all can see, as well, that We were always a part of whatever this Universe was/is involved in…

This is the stuff that gets me excited!! Michelle, I'd like to thank you for explaining Space/Time - And how time and space can bend under the influence of the gravitational forces of galaxies, to focus light and make a "lens" that can expose stars and other things in the Universe. I had such trouble understanding this concept, thank you for that!

Michelle Thaller needs to explain how satellities work in a vacuum. She automatically accepts satellites work in a vacuum. Has she ever checked how the vacuum of space sits next to Earths atmosphere? She needs to try harder.

How does one know that a star is 13 billion light years away?

When I heard for first time about Hubble's future when the new telescope will replace it, I felt so bad inside me, Hubble is the pioneer telescope opening our universe door for cience, to be for first time in awe of the most spectacular creation's view. That's the best option to put both telescopes to work in exploring the wonders of the universe, kudos for Hubble! the old but good Hubble👏🏼👏🏼

Well Smith, you tried your best to sound excited, but you have to be a real nerd to do so. The lady sounded like she found a golden puppy on her birthday.

That’s cool but it’s just like every space image we have seen through out the years ?
