Quick-Step planks not only look great on the floor; you can also use them to finish your staircase and create a perfectly harmonious interior.

You got to love how there isn't a speck of dust anywhere, and the drill looks like it just came out the box. That's trademanship

It's nice that the steps have been made to the perfect dimensions for the boards. In the real world that's not possible. The old nosings were great. These are rubbish. I've been flooring 25 years

Ive been installing stairs for 21 yrs. They actually sell stairnosing for this brand. Those trims he used are used for the doorways carpet tucks into or if you use the other side it will transition the floor to a lower level of flooring. But i can see how this works if you're doing 1 step a day lol. Otherwise you're working up wet stairs. Some people use brad nails, i use sika pro adhesive and commercial flooring hot glue which sets the step within minutes and leaves no nail holes to fill.

This process isn't overly complicated at all.

Nice do you buy it? Lowe's doesn't list it. I can't find it on your website. Is there a secret handshake or passcode to gain access? Sorry for the sarcasm. I just don't understand how a company can go through the trouble of making a video showcasing a product and then not link to a purchase option.

I really hate cheap laminate stairs. I think i will go with Engineered Vinyl flooring about 9mm Thick.

Thanks for sharing and the ideas.

Who would want the nosing to stick up on top of the tread?
Also, I agree that the stairs would have to be perfect. Many times stairs sag a little bit in the middle. This system does not look like there is a tolerance for stair sag.

Where do you get the metal pieces that go under the laminate and are screwed into the steps?

unfortunate video. you don't provide a list of all the junk needed to do this that you showed in the beginning, nor details on how to do the different edges. doesn't help whatsoever.

Please be safe. I think Vinyl, Laminate, and hardwood are all dangerous on stairs. I know carpets are dirty. I think using a easily replaceable carpet runner may be the best way to go. You only have to fall down from a slippery stairs once to realize carpet is the safest option. Since permanent carpet is too hard to replace therefore I recommend a runner option.

Thank you for this video. I think I’ll just go with carpet.

@2:59 You use some white U-shaped spacer, what is it called and where to get it?

Be aware that the little white plastic strip has to be a certain way, if you have it in the wrong way the nosing wont line up properly. Also the transition strips are really really frigin expensive and so bloody delicate any little mistake you make will chip or break them. I question their worth.

Looks expensive and may only work if your treads are neat and level to start off with.

Just use regular laminate with a landing nose. I thought this would be flush it's not so it's no different.

I would hate walking down those stairs in socks or barefoot. That nosing should be flat, otherwise your going to feel it on your feet!!!
