Thank you SO MUCH for making this video on installing the Pergo 5-in-1 transition molding!!! I read the paper instructions several times and still couldn't figure out how to use the slitter tool that was provided.

Video makes it way easier than installation really is. I used a wood chisel after scoring since you need gorilla strength to pop the edges off by hand. Also, the channel is way tight and had to use a heat gun to have a chance getting it to open up for the molding. Used 3/4 wood screws to secure the channel. Had to trim off the ridged portion of the channel as well since it wouldn’t fit in the 1-1/8” opening per the flooring directions.

How much gap do you leave between the two floors for t-molding?

Video could be a little more detailed....maybe some talking points about each type you are cutting for. Question: how wide of a gap do I leave between the end of laminate boards and the exterior door sill when using this as an end cap?

this is very useful. however, you could have added some measurements i.e. how far does the incizo need to be from the wall? or once you have cutted the incizo how much have you got left? that would have helped with calculating the space between the other surface and the laminate surface. thanks

I’m using 5mm underlay will the channel the profile clips into be to far down as the flooring is 9mm so that’s 14mm total, if not how do I get around that ? Thx

I am going to fit it, just starting to lay the floor - I am not convinced on the way it is meant to be used between floor and carpet, as shown here and on the leaflet - I would rather prefer the carpet to underneath the profile itself as for traditional door profile - let's what the carpet fitter will say
