If the witness tells the truth, good.
If the witness lies, perjury.

But all witness's should be encouraged to testify. That's part of the DOJ's job.

Nobody had to bully Hope Hicks, she's no innocent in all of this. Don't be fooled by the halo effect. And I don't know how Barr could become less credible. We knew he wasn't being straight with us as soon as that 4-page "summary" came out, complete with redactions. Trump's whole game has been trying his hand to see how much he and his gang could get away with and gambling that we all would be too lazy or apathetic to do anything, and if we acted like we cared he/they would find ways to sidetrack us. A lot of it worked, too, even though we all knew what was going on.
