My Relationship With Fujifilm

This video focuses on two topics: First, all the details of my relationship with Fujifilm and how it impacts this channel. And second, behind the scenes during the shoot of the X-M5 review, including the lack of planning and blueprint for all the components of the video, including autofocus.

Lastly, I mention a question I had for Fujifilm. They answered it. But, I promised them for certain period of time that I would keep that under Embargo. Once I know I can expand on it further, I will update you via this channel.

I have learned so much from your videos. I have never, not even for a moment, doubted your commitment to your work and I appreciate the time and effort it takes to share your skills and knowledge. I'm not looking for flaws, I have more than enough of my own to dwell on. Your videos are unparalleled. Thank you for everything you do. Cheers.

I was a Nikon user for decades before moving to Sony, but I bought a little Fuji X30 and loved that camera. Eventually, I traded all my sony gear for Fuji, and now enjoy the X-T5. But because of the broad range of options offered by a Fuji camera, I needed to be better educated. That's where your channel became a life-saver.
I can only imagine the amount of work that is involved in making these videos, and I know I am one among thousands who appreciate your lucid explanations. Thanks!!

I’ve watched your videos for… IDK, 3 or so years? I really like your channel. Your videos are informative, well made, and just fun. THIS one is probably the most interesting one I’ve seen. Thanks!

I'd rather have a proper, well-informed review late, than another launch date video that you can't trust. You are definitely my trusted source on Fuji gear.

Good on you for making this. I’m a big fan and long time subscriber to Pal2Tech, but I did find Edvard’s video funny. Honestly I think he’s doing us all a favour by being so vocal about weaknesses of Fuji autofocus. Many of us long-time Fuji users (myself included) have been too accepting of the status quo.

Thanks for being transparent about the way you work with Fuji and thanks for all the great content, humour, enthusiasm and positivity.

Your reviews – and this recent one in particular – are the best: thorough, honest, and incredibly helpful. Good things are worth waiting for! You're an great teacher and your passion is inspiring. Thank you so much for your channel – I just got my first Fujifilm (X-T5) in July and I keep returning to your channel to watch and re-watch your videos.

Always appreciate you my friend. Another class video. I don't think I have ever watched one of your videos and not been entertained. It is always insightful. You are part of what makes being in the fujifilm system so fantastic and that is the wonderful community that surrounds them. Looking forward to the next one and hope you have a great week.

Much like Gerald Undone has discussed; this never ending cycle of camera releases, tight deadlines and youtube algorithms quickly becomes unsustainable. As a viewer who watches too many of these videos, I’d fully understand and respect you saying “I only had ____ days to test this camera. These are my initial thoughts. Full review later.” It’s impractical to expect anything more than that given the circumstances.

You don't need to apologize for anything. You are a great instructor/teacher and you are always my go to channel when I want to figure something out with my X-T2 and X-H2 cameras (and lenses). Keep up the good work. You're the best.

You are a good man! A proper reviewer, no flim flam. It is much appreciated in today’s world of shallow productions.
