Your shift has been so natural to me and only now do I realise that I've grown with you. I used to relate to the younger Taz who would constantly make self deprecating comments and had a lower self esteem, and its like now, your growth is a representation of my growth as a person over the years and I'm sure many other people feel the same, it's really poetic and a testament to how it really does get better xx

Dear Taz,
I found your videos when I was at one of my lowest in 2019. I was 17, fresh out of school and moved to London to do an Au Pair. I was alone, confused and really really scared of being alone in such a big city, having to take care of children when I was also just a child. But one day while doing the dishes I found one of your videos. And then another. And then another. Your videos brought me so much comfort. You showed yourself so vulnerable at times and talked about all those emotions that I was feeling as well, but you were so brave and you did so many cool things. So I went out of my comfort zone and started being a young adult in this really big city. Now, six years later, I still watch your videos while cooking, eating and cleaning or when I need comfort. But now there is a difference: I've found my way in this world and what I want to do with my life. The only thing that has not changed is watching your videos. So thank you for doing what you do!

I think what I find so sad is you were 20, ONLY 20 and you felt a failure when your life has only just begun!
I’m 42 soon and to me 20 year olds are still so so young, you’ve only just left the teenage stage. A brain doesn’t stop developing until you are 25. Not even finished growing and you thought you were already a failure.
That is so incredibly sad and we need to teach our younger generation that you have SO MUCH LIFE ahead of you, NO ONE is a failure at 20!

I started watching you around 2019- when you had posted the fake art exhibition video. Well, it was fun to watch and gradually you kept on popping on my feed. I was not sure whether I should continue watching you but sometimes I felt that we were connected in some way, you seemed familiar. The way you had insecurities, your humor, you were quite relatable. That's when I even watched your TedTalk and felt like we had so many similarities. When choosing a career path I was so confused and your "what next" video really touched me!

Today it's been so many years and you were invited again for the Ted Talk. Taz, you have inspired me a lot! I have been watching you, your growth, your adventures and even your post burnout phase. And I am glad that every point in life this community has someone like you to whom they can look upto, return to for a safe space!

I remember watching your videos before the pandemic (honestly don't remember exactly when I started, memories are mushy) and you and I have lived very different paths of coursse, but we've both grown a lot as people and have come a long way in our mental health and it feels a little like we did it side by side without knowing each other. I think what I like the most about youTaz is that, over the 10 years, you've remained a very simple and humble person. Which doesn't mean stupid, on the contrary, you're very intelligent and very cultured. You stay true in your videos, and seeing you grow over these years is very touching. Anyway, I would have loved to have you as a friend when I was living in London.

I hope you don’t see your years of university as a completely waste of time. It probably gave you some structure and a plan B if you ever needed it❤
