Hell Let Loose - Let's Talk About The Practice Range (Update 14.3)

We are back with some more Hell Let Loose PTE gameplay! In Patch 14.3 we will be getting the Practice Range. Let's talk about what's going to be in it and what's missing from it. Also please note that this is the PTE so it's not a final release.

Imagine an ability to spawn in moving tanks/vehicles at specific distances to allow AT/Tankers to learn how to hit moving targets.

The building area and the tank driving will be a big help considering I’ve never played those roles yet. Adding artillery would be helpful also.
And please, I hope they add server browser for console!

Where I appreciate the addition of the range, it does feel a little thrown together at the last minute. I hope it gets developed into a full sized map divided for factions so that garrisons/ops can be placed. What disappoints me most is the 100m shooting range. As a sniper, I regularly shoot into the upper 400m and I need to practice this along with moving targets with obstructions. I REALLY hope it gets extended up to 500m which is the max rendering distance in the game.

Honestly I am just glad it exists. Yeah we know all the nuances since we have like a lot of play time but to a completely new player its still valuable info.

The scarecrow helmet ping and flying off only happens when you shoot the helmet directly, not the “head”. Very strange they did this and now new players with think you have to specifically shoot the helmet to get that sound when playing in live servers.

They need a way to hit “interact” and it has a pop up they tells you all about that item. Full description of Garrys such as who can build them, how to build them, what locks them, differences of red and blue Garrys. No reason I have to explain every game why red Garry’s are bad.

Should give you all the spawns as an option with the correct timer. So you have the choice of HQ, Garrison, Op, Airhead, Halftrack

Looks like a good start but have a lot of room to improve; targets up to 300m for the infantry and 400 for the sniper, up to 700 for the tanks, pop up hints for the Squad Leader, 2nd AT class and engineer and a good chunk of land for the Commander to practice and see his/her habilities in use, the dispersion and lethality of certain ones, how to aim by the map etc.

The worst part of the shooting range is the complete absence of Tojo & Fuckface!
