Manhunt in Alabama: Prison official goes missing along with the inmate she was escorting

An Alabama prison official and an inmate have both disappeared on the way to a hearing. Tom Walters reports.

She sold her house five weeks ago…put in her retirement papers a few days ago…

She put in her retirement paperwork last month ... Friday was her last day on the job! Now she can't be fired!!
She transported a 6'9" violent male felon (by herself) to a non-existent court appointment!
She told staff that she was ill and had a medical appointment scheduled after the the prisoner transport - so nobody expected her to return!
She drove the patrol car directly to the parking lot where the car was abandoned - she never went near the Court house!
Only in Alabama (and perhaps Mississippi) is this a coincidence!!!

I'm thinking she had family being held hostage or the threat of death if she didn't do as told? Her perfect record and near retirement tells me she's innocent and in danger. This is how gangsters would do it for C Os are dirty but this lady is dead or related.
