I must say I was very excited to come across this active Brush Turkey nesting mound on our walk around North Head near Manly.
Brush Turkeys have been known to build these nest or mounds to around the size of a small car

I saw one of these the other day scratching the ground of a front garden in Vermont St Sutherland. Got the shock of my life!

So yeah, are you watching naked and afraid right now? They're in Australia and were warned after supposedly sitting on a Yowie nest..but it looks a lot like a brush turkey nest..

I have one out the front of my house. I really want to destroy the mound because of the mess but I don't want to break eggs if there is any there. How long is it usually before the turkey moves on ?
