Elon Musk in China to discuss full self driving on Tesla cars say reports | BBC News

Elon Musk is visiting Beijing with media reports saying he aims to discuss enabling autonomous driving mode on Tesla cars in China.

Mr Musk wants to enable Full Self Driving (FSD) in China and transfer data collected in the country abroad to train its algorithms.

FSD is available in countries including the US but not in China.

The news came after a US report tied Tesla's autonomous driving modes to at least 13 crashes, involving one death.

BYD is the cost conscious alternative & plenty of market share is price sensitive. The promise of full self driving, monetising private vehicles, & disrupting transportation ignores the gridlock that ensues from going all in on automobiles. China has the largest high speed rail network on Earth & it was all built in the last ten years.

NONE of their cars are “full self driving” like he promised they would be in 2017. He says things to get more investor money, before giving himself a bonus that is more than ALL Tesla employee salaries combined, and then fires them.
