I like the oversimplified channel--lots of infos in a short time, but easy to understand with the animated maps, and a lot of jokes to keep it entertaining & not fall asleep. Other good videos that they did: WW1 & WW2, American revolution & american civil war. Thanks for your video--I'va watched several reactions to the cold war oversimplified, but first time by someone coming from a country from eastern Europe, so it was interesting to have your comments on this. 08:36 Churchill had a manic depression, he had phases with extreme energy and phases of depression switching. Maybe thats why he needed that much booze. Plus, maybe sending so many british soldiers to die at Gallipoli had him guilt-tripped. But before that, he was a daring war hero in the british war against the boers in south africa, got captured, managed to escape and flee through the savanna wilderness full of Leopards, Lions, Elephants and Snakes... quite a life!

I have to agree that their anthem is incredible. Some amazing writers too. I just hope that one day we will return to the 90s, when Metallica played in Moscow with supposedly 1.6 million ppl attending... I think that was the closest we got to "world peace" :D. METAL \m/

As before, it is great to hear your views as Poles to some of this history, and one of the things you folks had to say made me think of another comment.

Yes...Oppenheimer was publicly opposed to the US developing the hydrogen bomb...his public stance against it is what ultimately lost him his security clearance. The scientist who supported the hydrogen bomb even early on in the Manhattan Project was Edward Teller...who was played by Benny Safdie.

Churchill grew up a fair faced young man from and aristocratic family. He was a man born during the age of the British Empire and presided over the dissolving of it's empire during WW2. America became the world power while Britain lost is colonial territories like India to independence. If you see some of the Black and White photos of him as a young boy he is so pretty faced that you think it has to be someone else.

hi. This is constructive criticism so take it however you want. The audio quality of your mic's is so bad I can hardly watch. I clicked off it twice but really wanted to watch it so I stayed with it the 3rd time. What is bad is the echo/reverb. I would hang some diffraction or absorption panels on the walls or even a curtain behind you. Maybe it is just me but thought you might want to look into that. Another option would be software correction or just turning the gain down slightly.

34:02 As a west-berliner, if u had a west-german passport, nobody would keep u in east berlin. U could apply for entry in east berlin to visit relatives. But as an east-berliner, to be allowed to visit west-berlin relatives, u and ur family had to be at good odds with system and propaganda, if u were a known protester, members of ur family fled the country, or an active beliver in christ or something similar non-socialist, u wouldnt be allowed to cross the border. Or study, u could only study if u were alinged with the state ideals, meant no christians allowed.
