Hi I'm Lindsay and I'm a Zoologist

This is my "about me" video! I'll be diving into how I got interested in zoology, my experience with it, and what content to be expecting from this channel. I also briefly touch on some points to consider if you're thinking about going to school for zoology! Lindsay's story of how she did not know anything about the major she signed up for reminds me of how I decided to get into Microbiology. Currently I am a biotechnology student at a career technology center, and through that I was introduced to microbiology and I realized that I absolutely adored that field and I'm glad that it's what I'm going into.

I’ve wanted to be a zoologist since I was 9! (Just turned 14 in October)
I especially enjoy how the job is female dominated (Female 63.2% Male 36.8%)
Though I never really got to see any female zoological content creators, like Steve Irwin.
So watching you make a name for yourself, and teaching others about animals is really cool! 😁

I am super happy to see your content. I am currently a high school bio teacher, and I completely understand the internal screaming of “keep it simple stupid” for the kiddos. I bring up college level aspect and terms daily, but then withdraw with “well, THAT part won’t be on the test”. 😅

i mostly watch longer vids on this platform, 30 min. to an hour mostly, so i'll be looking forward to longer vids. being entertained and educated at the same time is my thing, so you're right up my alley. teaching is a perfect fit for you i think, your passion for the subject and your joy at sharing them with the "class" come shining through like the sun. those ninth graders will never forget the time they spent with you, i'm sure, and the rapid growth of your channel proves how popular you will ultimately be in the future. i mean three quarters of a million subscribers in less than a year is amazing!
