People swear they'll wake up one day next to a briefcase full of money they're "entitled" to. My parents immigrated from Guatemala and are now living close to comfortably while starting a retirement plan. It takes blood, sweat, tears AND TIME. Nothing happens overnight.

I would agree but thanks to all those taxes, increases on food, housing and insurance makes me question that. Specially with data from decades ago.

Compare 1995 cost of housing, to times the salary to buy it.
If then it was as easy as getting a degree, then you should explore the relative prices.
And requirements.

In America it is impossible to get ahead if the county domestic Court becomes involved with your life as a man. You have no rights to your kids, your home, your personal property, your vote, your ability to travel or seek employment, your state rights, your federal rights or those truths that are self evident and inalienable. None.

Data from 30 years ago. I agree with Mr. Shaprio's views on many instances, but this time he just lacks any nuance for the sake of his political allegiance.

A lot of people don’t understand that it takes lots of hard work to become well off or rich. It doesn’t mean that there is people holding you back or it is impossible.

I'd like to own a house when I'm older.

Thank you Ben. Everyone that’s my age right now that’s on social media like instagram are so focused on how young people or my age 26 think you need to rush to get “rich” when they don’t see with their eyes that they are scammers stealing money from the elderly to get rich off of them. It’s horrible and sad

If those college kids learn Mardarin or learn in-demand Computer languages or obtain bachelors in chemical /electrical engineering, life is good.
For the rest, its embracing a life of Sales & developing networking skills. For the folks who don't have the mental fortitude for commission-based sales world, teaching junior high students in the 'hood & living in lousy apartments is their future...

The people who stay poor usually don't work. There are plenty of people with brains and skills but don't hold a job consistently or are just lazy.

The difference is people used to be able to buy houses from much much cheaper much much younger. The average earning power for Americans has not increased as fast as the cost of houses have.

The principle thing I see here is alot of people are JEALOUS! About what other people have instead of being content in their own lot in life! If we can be appreciative for what we have and keep our eyes and minds off other people's wealth then we would have a more harmonious life with contentment.problem is most people aren't content!

so many people seem to think they should be able to work a minimum wage minimum skill job and live middle class

I love you Ben, but you are speaking half truths right now. Not everybody has the same opportunities.

love your diversion content. If you where really after the truth you

would be asking one simple question.... Just after a few months of
pulling out of Afghanistan, Why do we all of the sudden have an oil
shortage.? Its obvious as shit and everyone knew we where only there for
oil... I would love to see some content on this. Its not Russia. Its so
obvious I cant imagine why alternate media wouldnt pick up on it...
almost like ALL media with the privilege of still being aired is being
paid to look the other way... Anyone that served and went to Afghanistan
knows they where not fighting terror. they where protecting Oil... and
doing their best to make America look good by playing with kids and free
food in the market... Yeah there where rundown towns that Afghanistan
wanted wiped out so they could rebuild. so they played my favorite line
from 'Gangs of New York' " we can always hire half the poor to kill the
other half" which is exactly what was done... Cheap gas till we pull out
of Afghanistan.. you media pros really didnt catch this? wtf...

They want it to be how it used to be when you could bust ass working for only 1 year and save to buy a nice waterfront house by age 30. Now no matter what it's like you are stuck paying on your not so waterfront house until you in your 50's or 60's.
