The government just needs to spend less.

Equality of opportunity is admirable. Equality of outcome doesn’t make sense. Everyone should have access to opportunity like education, but outcome is up to individual effort.

Just dumbfounding how Ben can be so wrong about this subject. Maybe the rich pay their fair share based on their income, which seems to be the logic everyone falls into, but the rich often have a very low income particularly to avoid taxes. It's called loopholes, one very common one is the carried interest loophole. You can also check out the propublica report since that would be more reliable than Ben on this subject.

It’s not a money problem, it’s a spending problem.

I like how they say "the rich" and all they come up with is Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerburg. They bring up big names and that's it. That's not 1%.

As a former liberal this is simply untrue. A lot of people don’t pay taxes because of real estate property loopholes which I am currently studying in school.

The social credit score should be applied to corporations, not individuals. When a corporation is found to be infringing on freedoms, their tax rate should increase.

That wasn’t concrete. That wasn’t debunked. That was him saying something without details. Bunk.

It's not about social services. It's about military spending and unfunded wars. A Carrier battle group is 1.1 trillion dollars. We have 11 of them and we have two in the major.

"We could tax more than any other country and be completely fine and have more money for social infrastructure, but Im gonna say no to that for no reason other than to confirm what I believe in"

But billion dollar companies pay as little as they are legally allowed to to the point that workers for that company have to survive on benefits and food stamps 🤔

Wait, if a rich person pays medical expenses and then receives a tax break for their expenses, how is that paying that paying taxes at all? And how is that paying everyone else’s share? They’re paying for their own heath care expenses and then using it as a tax write off. Am I missing something?

I don't quite understand what has this to do with rich paying anything.
Also knowing how bad USA healthcare is I am not sure what is he proud of.

We should put a tax on Ben's eyebrows

Saying the rich should pay more than their fare share just because they're rich is stupid.

Just make it easy and make it a flat tax with zero loopholes. Then who can cry they didn’t “pay their fair share”

Only those who earn poorly think the rich should pay more taxes. If they were in that situation, they would say that they shouldn’t have to pay any more than anyone else because they earned it.

We don't need to shill for billionaires.

Warren Buffet paid in taxes a
0.10% and Elon Musk paid 3.27% in taxes. They don't pay their fair share. Remember Ben is in his bubble, meaning he only hangs out with "other" millionaires. Ben also stated that he is Republican and is biased. He will do and say anything to support his side.

Absolutely true. While I worked for many years I paid zero income tax, yes I filed properly, until I started making actual money. And I'm talking just a decent wage, not big money.
