The hair at the end made my perfectionist mad...

Thanks for showing a before and after. Other videos I’ve watched don’t give a comparison so I never knew if it makes a difference. It did have a more smooth sound effect afterwards

I have the most unethical way of lubing. I open the switch with a flat head screwdriver and open it. I grab the spring and using my trumpet slide lube, i roll the lube and spring around my fingers. I then lube the sides of the switch and then close it. Works fine

Wow, that looks like a pretty high entrance costs. Actually all you need is some lube and brush. Even openere isn't necessary, but it's the first thing I would buy after lube+brush. :)

My friend is so smart he 3d printed a lube station at digital tech since he’s getting into custom keyboards

Last year I built an ortho 75 key and wanted to try lubing my switches. Didn't know that lube stations were a thing, so I did each one individually holding each piece with tweezers and putting them back together the same. It took about 6 hours.

Buy a lube station and stem puller, everyone. It'll save you hours and hours.

I absolutely love mechanical keyboards but given how clumsy I am, I could never see myself doing this

I will need to wait till I move next year to even consider building my own keyboard. I don't have space right now in my tiny accommodation

Damn that's just too much work but the sound at the end is compelling

Help, I used the wrong kind of lube and now my switch is pregnant

Does it need to be lubed if it’s stuck in the down position? This is a whole new concept to me 🤯 thanks!

Meanwhile i open switches using a top housing from a different switch and use my fingers to hold everything. I am too much of a cheapskate to buy proper tools.

what if you just bag lube all the parts would that not accomplish the same thing just more messy?

I got impatient and just ran my brush across every single component of my switches now they’re super greasy feeling 😔

how long does this lubricant last? I have a very old Filco with Cherry Brown from 2011 - would this be safe to even try?

So the question is do you re lube your switches 1/2 weeks later? Is the switches will maintain its smoothness?

Hi! I applied silicone spray on my Steelseries Apex 7 TKL Blue and the results are great. What do you think of this idea?
