I had a brother-in-law who HATED RealPlayer back in the late 1990s and early 2000s; so I actually uninstalled that from the PC I had back then!

Video. Jitsi is the best option I have found. Free, open source, works from a web browser (has apps too if you so prefer) and respects your privacy without being in the way of your workflow.

Switched to bit defender . It’s excellent.

Kaspersky AV is an excellent Anti-virus program. No issues with over 20 years of continuous use. Whilst understandable for US government departments and contractors, for the average person, it's unnecessary fearmongering to advise against installing the product and definitely controversial. Some could easily describe Microsoft, Norton and McAfee as companies that are also dangerous to have their software installed on an individual's computer.
