Toasted sourdough bread, grass fed butter, big spoon of Marmite, topped with 12 year aged sharp British cheddar = heaven to me.

My wife absolutely despises Marmite, but she unknowingly eats a fair amount of it when i cook

Perfect symbiotic relationship: the Brits swill massive amounts of beer.
Brewing beer provides massive amounts of yeast.
Yeast is concentrated and added to a secret ingredient: equally massive amounts of salt.
Marmite has enough salt to induce raging thirst.
Which requires more beer...
Devilishly clever...
Heh.

As a 34 yo Brazilian, I tried yeast extract recently after my sister-in-law moved to London. I'm OBSESSED. I wish they sold this in Brazil.

As a born and raised Canadian, I only began to appreciate and crave Marmite once Scotch, Irish Whiskey and Bourbon stated to appeal to my palate at age 26. Haven't stopped loving it since then.

I always love it when a food factory looks just like an oil refinery.

Was born in the UK and came to Canada at age 7. Can't remember a time when I didn't eat it and I am now in my 70s. It is sometimes hard to find in Canada and it is a tad expensive, but a jar lasts a long time. I don't care for jam, but enjoy Marmite on buttered toast for breakfast. Also I love a baguette, spread with butter, a smear of Marmite and some grated cheese. Can't imagine life without Marmite.

I was weaned on Marmite, Sandwich Spread and Fish Paste . . . On my “Samie’s” as a kid. Live in Sweden now and have my Marmite Jars safe and sound and on toast every morning of my life. My Swedish grandchildren are addicted to it!

If you're making scrambled eggs on toast, spread some Marmite on the toast before the eggs go on. Also stir a generous teaspoonful into stews and casseroles.

Its made under license in South Africa too. I bought a jar in Mauritius a while ago and it has a different taste and texture. Still delicious though.

It’s actually very healthy with vitamin B perhaps a little much salt but considering a byproduct of brewing it is a very ecologically good product .
