I grew up riding at Lake Elsinore. What a sad time. It was my favorite track and taught me how to ride on cement dirt! Any given day you could see Supercross stars show up. I am so thankful for the memories!!!

I think 2 premier classes 250 and 450 full 17 rounds. And create an east west class with a stock class that you have to go through to race the premier class. Then manufactures get to promote just how good their production bike are

It's really sad about the girl who died. Hope God is in their lives. However, I'm even more sad that their loss caused the loss of any track or business. It sucks that everyone who rides at any track or even desert areas are closed because of a lawsuit.

It is hard to believe that there are any mx tracks still open in CA. I heard that CA has a law that if you fart in public you could get 2 yrs in prison.

I haven't been to Lake Elsinore, but this was very tragic for sure. You're right, the AMA should have your back in situations like this.

I was at LEMP when a sky driver landing on the track. Her parachute didn’t open. Every time I rode there I always thought about. Thankfully they changed the track layout afterwards. I used to go there everyday after school until sunset!

RIGHT ON COOKSEY!!! I can't argue with a single thing you said, but, that's usually the way it is. I am amazed that dirt bike sports are still surviving. Mix in the price of a bike, the shrinking availability of places to ride, & the risk of lawsuits/price of insurance, i don't see how the manufactures are still providing us with excellent machines to ride. Just the prices it cost to participate in a race, or even attend as a spectator, , , it's absurd! As i said, i second EVERYTHING you said here.

No tracks = no bike sales. There is always talk about “growing the sport” but bums in stadium seats, podcast views and t shirt sales isn’t the same as bike and parts sales. And that depends on land access and disposable income.

LEMX story blows been I have been here my whole life I was there two weeks ago and there was a lot going on, multiple races new track designs, etc my buddies and I were talking about how much was going on how good it was going. This is a huge shock.

Lake Elsinore track was built on the old dry lake bed. They always said they couldn’t build houses on the dry lake bed. After I saw them building houses near the track I knew it was only a matter of time. I’m sure the lawsuits don’t help, but I always suspected LEMP land would become housing. Very sad day for SoCal locals. Now it’s down to Glen Helen, Perris, Pala, and Cahuilla Creek.

What if....KTM, Yamaha, Honda..etc...created a Manufacturer's body....each manufacturer set aside a handful of employees....they work with the manufacturers don't need money....the tracks are chosen by them, no fees. Tracks get gate fees, sponsors put up purse money(substantial purse money) no entry fees, AMA fees, non of that. Is that doable in today's world or is it too simple? What would happen if a secondary series took ALL of the non factory riders? Would people watch 8 guys with 12 guys a lap down

Lake Elsinore closing is hard to hear. I am local and have ridden this track for many years. I have had so many good rides there.

I was at Woolongong AUSX, fun night Joey almost going off the side of that bridge jump was wild. One of the other main reasons for him not loosing the lead was the red cross flags for the downed rider Joey had to dodge, it was great. Looking forward to seeing the Lawrence's and Cooper Webb at Melbourne
