1981 Maico, arguably the best year they ever built. Most reliable, best handling, and insane performance with bulletproof suspension. The following years of 1982-1983 gave Maico its notorious "Maico Breako" term during that time. The 1981 was so awesome, what a sight it would be to see one in person.

Holding throttle wide open every time you kick that's why it's not starting, just barely touch that throttle and start every kick

In 1983, one Buddy had the 490 the other had the 250, I was just a kid on a YZ 125, Pinicle Peak Arizona single track great time riding back in those days. In 1999 I was 36. I wrode the Baja peninsula on a Honda xr600 we did 1550 miles in 7 days

I owned and raced my 84 cr 500, it had monster compression, and it ate plugs. I ran b7 ngk plugs and it ran great, I think old school ignition needs a 7 to make it run, until you upgrade your generator..

Had an 81 250 back when, at the time that thing was badass! Still is now that I think about it!
