Jesus had many uncomfortable things to say in His Sermon on the Mount.  Among the issues He covered was the topic of divorce.  And as uncomfortable as the subject is, as followers of Jesus Christ we must have a Biblical understanding of marriage and divorce. In today’s teaching, Pastor Gary shares the two Biblical grounds for divorce and sensitively discusses the topic with grace and truth.

I have been married for 60 years and God is blessing our marriage more than I ever dreamed could happen without him this what I call a miracle never could’ve happened I am so very very thankful for his faithfulness he truly is the answer to every one who turns their life over to him daily but oh what a joy as we see the blessings over and over again when we obey and depend upon him for what he and only he can bless us with his grace and his love it’s worth it sheep clothes to him through all the challenges of marriage it is a blessing as you move on the best years we are experiencing have been these later years God is faithful trust him

I've read this many times. And b4 hearing your message. I am contemplating divorce. My wife of 23 yrs has cut me off for the last 15 yrs. As a believer, I know God hates divorce. So do I. But I am tired of this emotional abandonment of the marriage. As a last effort I am going to take a marriage class with my wife in september. If it does not work, after all these years, I am seriously contemplating divorce. If I wanted to be alone, I would have never would have gotten married.. She refuses to talk about it. I feel sad I'm thinking of doing it. We are living like roommates. And I want a wife. I pray this class works.

I am starting my journey with god now at 24 years old, and I can say I love hearing the teachings of Mr.Gary; it’s clear and explain very well. Me and the father of my Son have been together four years and we want to get married and willing to do a ceremony but don’t want the courts involved. Is there anyway we could just have an ordained ceremony with family and friends and our vows to eachother and it be recognized by god??

I’m more interested in remarriage when the original spouse is alive. It’s clear that divorce is okay for pornea, but remarriage is expressly prohibited when the original spouse is still alive according to the scriptures. Romans 7:3, Mark 10:11, Luke 16:18, etc. It’s a scary reality that so many churches are okay with their patrons living in adultery. We need to realize obedience to God surpasses any feeling of a “need” to be happy in this life. In fact, we should expect pain and misery on this side of eternity and we are to be so grateful when it isn’t so bad. Let’s be obedient to our Lord and Savior! God bless!❤

I recently had to re/home my dog of 7 years. So I was having a horrible time trying to find anyone who would take in Louie. And everyone I asked told me, “just get rid of the wife.” One guy who I worked with told me that he had an ultimatum: either stay with the wife for another 30 years or leave and take the dog.
He took the dog.
Through the course of this I decided it’s cheaper to keep her than Louie. I prayed about it and found a nice couple who owned a female version of Lou and couldn’t be happier. I miss Lou but it’s not a good grounds for divorce.

I got married never imagining I would ever get divorced. We both often said we didn’t believe in divorce. After like 6-7 years it went south, hard! Then he has 3-4 affairs that I know of! Gets someone else preg and then we divorced… never imagined it tho.

My kids and myself would be dead if I hadn't gotten us out. My current husband helped me stay safe in that horrible situation.
