Or you can slice them very thin with a mandoline and toss with white balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little chopped parsley.
It easier and very delicious.
You can also just toss with French vinaigrette.

I'll be honest. I've never seen this one, but beets and pistachios seem like such a good combo . On star anise, I use a pestil and mortar to mill the seeds, never grated . Thanks, I'll have to try this.
