Thank you so much for watching the video! I'm not expecting this to get too many views, so shares are REALLY appreciated! Twitter, Reddit, your dog, it all helps the video out!
Let me know what content has positively influenced your life!
NOTE: I say "animes" in the video sometimes, which is supposedly wrong as anime is plural, so whoops, I was just so excited I started blurting out nonsense I guess hehe

I wish I could erase my memory and watch this movie again

When Taki wrote "I love you" instead of writing his name, I was both left broken and left painfully in love with that scene. If Taki wrote his name, it'll be just forgotten and wiped out just like what happened to Mitsuha's written diary and other memories of him to her. Writing "I love you" left Mitsuha remember the feeling of being love and letting her to continue living the life she deserve. The heart will never forget.

I think this anime taught me that I need to start living. And there is always someone out there for me.

"Your Name" was exemplary filmmaking; I was holding back tears at its conclusion. The only other media that have touched me as much are the scene from the "Roots" miniseries with Kunta Kinte weeping over a dead Fiddler; Spike Lee's "Malcolm X" and Joe Talbot's "The Last Black Man in San Francisco".

Browntable's got great taste in anime. I remember back when the whole anime community was talking about this movie and i didn't watch it because the community likes to over hype things alot. Then a year later i gave it a go and i was incredibly surprised! This movie really blew me away.

This movie helped me to realize how deep the connection through the opposite sex can become. It’s not physical, it’s emotional.

The scenes where the film blends CGI with the rest of the animation are just magnificent.

Your Name is definitely my favourite movie ever. It is so perfect in ways I can't explain. I have watched it least 7 times already and read the manga. It has too, affected me! Thank you Makoto Shinkai! ❤️

It’s only been a few movies that made me cry and happy at the same time but this is on a new level 😂

You can tell just how much of an effect the film has had on me when, just playing that seconds long clip of the pen cut, my stomach dropped and I was close to tears.

Your ‘rant’ at the end is exactly how I feel about anime. I spent years beating myself up thinking I was picking an ‘easy’ medium and that I should only be allowed to enjoy storytelling if it came from classic literature. Then at some point I realised anime is exactly what you described and so much more! I’m so glad I found an art form that truly speaks to me :’)

Ps: you should watch Hyouka and Shinsekai Yori if you haven’t already :)

Happy news for Your Name fans. Makoto Shinkai is writing and directing another animated movie called Weathering With You. A beautifully animated and musically elegant trailer has dropped. It drops in Japan Jul 19th.

PS - It seems Radwimps will be doing the music again as well.
