Isshin is the best dad out of all the major shonen mangas. The other dads either died or left their sons to fend for themselves and never bothered to check on them. Isshin not only raised 3 kids on his own but never chose to seek revenge for his wife's death over his children. He could've left them and gone to avenge his wife, but he stayed to be their dad. Fun fact! Of the 5 noble clans only 4 had voted to seal the soul king. The 5th clan that voted not to seal the king was the shiba clan. This means that ichigo is the direct descendent of the clan that voted not to seal him. Kind of poetic, ichigo is a hybrid with all the different beings created by the soul king when he was sealed, a descendant of the clan that voted to not seal him, come to be the sword that frees the soul king from his million year torment.
