When Mom was in the hospital...or nursing home...a woman was going around as a clown to cheer up patients. I saw her coming & Mom was NOT in the mood. I blocked the entrance to the room & chatted with her "completely oblivious" that she wanted to get in & see her. Kept it up 'til she gave up.
