What do you think of postmarketOS? Would you consider buying a Linux phone in the future?

You are supposed to use CTRL+D to exit Python, CTRL-Z pauses it but keeps it open in the background, after a CTRL+Z you can resume it by typing 'fg 1' in the terminal and pressing enter
Besides that, very informative video, thanks for spreading the word about these interesting OSes

The video has been really useful, even for a different device. Thanks!

The PostmarkedOS POCO F1 supports according to the POS WIKI almost all features of the Poco F1. POCO F1 is powerful and affordable compared to other devices with this features. With this instruction, the device becomes a real Linux computer, which is great. The PostmarkedOS POCO F1 is one of our favorite devices.♥.

Hi! This is a cool and informative video. So I have this old Onda V891 tablet with Windows 10 and Android 4 Dualboot. Can I get Postmarket or another os like lineage os, cyanogenmod, etc. working on it with this method? I am guessing there needs to be some more modification for the hardware to work properly? And will the google play store work then as well? Thank you in advance!

The progress on mobile distros of Linux seems frustratingly slow. Looks like we are today nearly at the same state where we were 5 years ago

Hello,
how long could you use the smartphone with postmarketos without charging? From 100% to e.g. 30%?
Thank you!

Does poco f1 + Ubuntu touch provide a Desktop mode as well? Does poco f1 support dp alt mode

The command should be :-
source ~/.profile not source ~./profile
Anyway, for Arch Linux it should be
source ~/.bashrc
but you need to add the path manually
nano ~/.bashrc
export

Hooray, I broke my phone =) In fact, I don't blame you, it's just a shame that I didn't watch it somewhere and it happened (galaxy s6 edge zeroltexx phone), now i can't throw any files on it

I need read write option to the external SD card, which should work in Postmarket OS, but not in Ubports. Is it possible to install Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) together with Postmarket OS? When booting into TWRP, it is possible to read write to the SD card when connected over usb to a PC. Do yu thinks TWRP works with PM OS?

Overall it is not that impressive. 10 years ago we had openmoko wich had similar software state. Not much of an development since then. At least the hardware is not stuck in kids shoes.
