OLIVE ATELIERS ON A BUDGET✨aged pedestal, vessels, breadboards DIYs

DIY these dupes from OLIVE ATELIERS. I am attempting to recreate some of their “objects with old souls.” Starting with a breadboard - using a thrifted pizza board I will add the OLIVE ATELIERS style by antiquing with tools and stain. Then an aged vessel - using a thrifted jug I will use clay, paint, and baking soda to recreate an OLIVE ATELIERS vessel. Finally, I will build an amazing aged/antique wooden pedestal from scratch attempting to make it look like a large salvaged beam or some old, giant chunk of wood. OLIVE ATELIERS sells salvaged and sells beautiful objects with old souls, these objects may not be quite as old but they have their own story to tell.

Love all but the pedestal is fabulous! When you started staining the gray i was saying “no, stop”. So glad you went back to the dark stain. And also love the additions to the jug with clay. Air dry clay is our friend. Nice job!

Hi Tessa, I was able to make a purchase from Oliver Atelier drop. I am about 97 miles away from them decided to do a DIY‘s on a blanket ladder, a consul table and I purchase a bowl from their online drop. I recently uploaded a video of a vase I purchased from goodwill and I repurposed it to look like one of those vases. You did a great job on the bench. I did a terrible job. I like the way you went about doing it which was the way I should’ve done it. I tried that way the first time and then the second one I made I used round tree stakes I have more wood in the garage, when the weather cools down I might try again.

In the end, using multiple layers of the wrong stain on the pedestal before staining it dark made the final look that much more rich and aged! What do you think??

Vase Looks great, great timing as I want to add another handle to a vase of mine, it looks like a hospital urinal bottle with one handle at the moment.🤨🙄😏
