""Non fiction"" books with covers that look like novels for 13 year olds are such a red flag

Here in England, probably our most famous hymn, Jerusalem, talks of Jesus walking in our green and pleasant land. It is based on a similar myth that he visited the island with Joseph of Arimathea. It's amazing what people can believe if they really want to.

Helpful. I assumed Thoth the Atlantean was a professional wrestler.

There is also no data the support jesus in the Bible neither. Neither is there any data that he was a white man and yet he is depicted as one.

Bro is honestly out here trying to make Jesus like Batman with all that globtrotting training lmao I do have some memories of a few critics of Jesus claiming that his teachings derived from Egypt and that he was pretty much a faith healer con artist using Egyptian magician techniques, though I can't at the moment recall how modern those criticisms are. I'd have to find them again.

And then jesus did kung fu then went to africa to fight giant bears then went sledding in siberia then played cards with the incas… this is the fever dream of a 4 year old who just wants to believe.

Glad someone shot that “click bait, buy my book” nonsense down.

The story of the origin of Gospel of the Holy Twelve sounds very similar to the Book of Mormon and the books of Abraham and Moses. Very interesting.

Pretty much the only thing accurate he said was that Jesus spent some time in Egypt, but he was most likely in Alexandria, a city which had a larger Jewish population than all of Judea. Saying he went to Egypt to study the Egyptian mysteries is like saying a modern-day Jewish man visited Manhattan to study the mysteries of the Munsee Lenape tribe that used to live there.

You gotta love how creative people are getting these days. All the myths about the life of Jesus just aren't enough for people anymore. They have to add more.

I would love to have the same levels of confidence as that creator has.

Here are some similarities between sayings attributed to Thoth and those attributed to Jesus:

"Know thyself" - Thoth is often associated with the maxim "Know thyself, " which emphasizes self-awareness and understanding.
Jesus also stressed the importance of knowing oneself in teachings such as "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31).

"As above, so below" - Thoth's principle of correspondence suggests that the macrocosm reflects the microcosm, and vice versa. Similarly, Jesus taught the concept of the Kingdom of God being within oneself (Luke 17:21), implying an inner and outer correspondence.

"You must die and be born again" - Thoth's teachings often revolve around cycles of death and rebirth, symbolizing spiritual transformation. Jesus also spoke of spiritual rebirth, such as in the conversation with Nicodemus about being born again (John 3:3).

Wisdom teachings - Both Thoth and Jesus are associated with wisdom teachings that emphasize spiritual enlightenment, inner transformation, and the pursuit of truth. These parallels suggest common themes in ancient Egyptian and Christian spiritual teachings, emphasizing self-awareness, inner transformation, and the pursuit of spiritual truth.

Whoever the guy is refuting what Billy says must not have heard of The Aquarian Gospels of Jesus The Christ...where the 18 missing years of Jesus in the present day Bible are missing...the time lines fit perfectly...it also explains that when Joseph and Mary fled into Egypt that they were welcomed and taught at the Temple Heliopolis lessons about their prophesied son to come...from the time that Jesus was able to understand he was immersed in the highest spiritual lessons...
The Aquarian Gospels also speak to he and his parents traveling to India other parts of Africa and Europe...as a child before coming back and beginning his ministry...READ IT ALL FOR YOURSELVES AND ALLOW THE COMPREHENSION THAT GOD GIVES EACH OF US TO GUIDE YOU TO WHAT IS TRUE OR NOT...DO NOT LET MAN DETER YOU FROM PUTTING YOUR HAND IN GOD'S OWN HAND (WHICH IS TRUTH) TO STEER YOUR SHIP ACCORDING TO WHAT OUR CREATOR HAS FOR US...THE TRUTH MAY SHOCK YOU, IT MAY SCARE YOU, IT MAY EVEN SHAME YOU...BUT IT IS THE TRUTH NONETHELESS...AND GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF ALL TRUTH...PEACE

The same way I question him … I doubt you! …. His words are as much as important as yours. Bring facts !

Minus the Thoth stuff, a lot of this premise can be found in Christopher Moore's excellent book, "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal."

The difference is that that book is a *comedy*
