As someone trying to emigrate from a developing country, the question should be " which of these countries will grant you a visa" ? Study visa to Canada is not an easy thing to achieve

Canada is a great country but, the cost of living and the weather conditions scarce me a lot

It’s their way of being polite when they say “sorry”

concerning the school part, getting student visa for masters is way easier for the UK, it is way too hard getting student visa for masters to Canada especially when you have many years of work experience, they want you to prove you will go back to your country, when they obviously want immigrants and then keep rejecting applications

I so went to Uni Sunderland, but have lived all over the UK for over 20 years. I too am also apart of the global majority from America. Everything you're saying is absolutely true!

The problem with the UK is that the experience varies for settled emigrants when compared to someone who is starting from scratch with needs for permit to work etc. I noticed the following:
1) your experience in the UK seems to be limited to a none major city, and it would be good to see what and how is it for an equally settled emigrant living in London to another one in similar emigration status living in Toronto.
2) reading the comment section some people disagree with the age limit in alcohol consumption and food pricing, meaning there was not a much research in an effort to closer accurate judgement.
3) English language is reach from home land to beyond its bothers, whether you speak in Nigerian accent / notation or Canadian accent. English was first spoken by the English(I assume?) therefore they will rightfully use the original version of their language, regardless of how it sounds to others.
Settled immigrant in the greater London region with a decent education background would enjoy travelling to different EU countries a good salary package and a sense of belonging, cultural, nights out in a multi cultural society which makes a very big difference.
Well… to me at least.

4) According to the National archive,
Just London is about 1975 years old.

Im an emigrant from a none English speaking African country, I lived in London for over 22 years and travelled. The beginning is hard in London, maybe in Canada is less harder ?
I completely agree with the land mass and population distribution. And also the UK is very close minded country. Despite being small, only 4 percent of the land is constructed upon, the rest of the land are conservational which doesn't help.
I have now bought a flat, how two children and ear 65K / A
Most of my African friend who were raised here and are stabled earn higher than me.

Nice video, but the UK immigration has actually changed quite a lot sense you left there. There's now a 2-year Post Study Work Permit after graduating from a UK post secondary institution where one is allowed to do any kind of legal work. If one is able to get a tier 2 visa sponsorsed job during that period, then he or she can now move to a Tier 2 General Work Visa.

Canada sounds like US when you mention shopping/taxes. The US too after buying stuff you still pay taxes. The UK are very professional too especially when it comes to language. In US too, we don’t say “sorry”. Also yes when you talk about the language, I also had that happened to me several years ago. I came to the states newly and told someone “omg I love your gown.” She looked at me weirdly and I was told I should have said “i love your dress.” All in all, I still love the US

UK and Canada should make a deal to allow people to do jobs without getting visa.
