With the cordless drill, the key to drill into concrete is using the right bit. Get something likes Bosch Hex-9 or Unika BJ and don't expect too much from the drill. My experience is the longer the bit spinning and the more struggling you are to make the hole, the more problems will happen. You may ended up with a ruined bit, a toasty hot drill, and a much wider but shallower hole than required. Probably also a question of life choice =))
