The Cocknocker of Starfleet ships. Love it.

Nice work! Always love your technical breakdowns. This class of ship is growing on me 😊

Of note, at the start of the 25th century as the Inquiry class vessels in the fleet were transitioned from QRF to exploration duties, they were refitted with a more conventional main deflector as the grill style, though more well protected, caused endurance problems in high-speed long distance travel. An example of the refit can be seen at 7:09.

I just love seeing exhaustive breakdowns of the actual ship design from various perspectives. Would love to see some interactive 3D models.

These videos are very interesting and well made. As an old aeronautical engineer, I appreciate the technical descriptions. Your videos have re-kindled my interest in the Star Trek universe.

I appreciate that the unusual appearance of sloped deck windows along the spine are NOT truly what they are, and underneath there is the expected plan of flat decks. The curved line of white dots can instead be interpreted as just that: a line of white dots on the ship's spine perhaps art of the ship's tech systems.

That scene in Picard was horrible - thousands of copy/paste ships on both sides

Historic fact... Admiral Zheng He's fleet of Chinese ships, the largest of which could have carried Columbus' three ships on their decks, was called.... The Star Fleet! True!

Just found your channel. You're the only person doing interior starship videos, and I love them!

Hey remember like this ship the Akira Class Starships also had a forward shuttle bay in the front of the saucer section too.

Decent analysis, given the limited on-screen appearance!

Cool ship! It's about time Starfleet started to embrace the idea that the universe is a dangerous place and incorporate that understanding in their ships. Having said that, it would be really cool to see SF upgrade all their current ships along those lines. Miranda class with ablative armor & phaser cannons anyone? 🤣

I have the Eaglemoss model of this ship and honestly, it's not that bad of a design. I don't like the deflector dish and I'd more the impulse engines back to make more interior room but it's kina of a cool ship.

Great Video.. Thank you.. Dont let the arm chair critics deter your work.. If they were so awesome at it they could make videos right?

Can you continue with the series analyzing the strength and size of star wars? I really enjoy your videos.

I've gone from "thanks, I hate it" to "meh, s'alright."

I like to think that the Inquiry-class was meant to be an easily-constructed design that could be built and deployed in very large numbers, but it's really kind of too big for that at over 630 meters each, in my opinion. That makes it almost comparable to the Galaxy-class in length.

Are we going to get more episodes soon?

Nice break down of the star ship but I'm wandering if it's equipped with quantum slipstream drive like the Voyage A and Voyage B
