Love the reaction! You seem like you'll enjoy a Postmodern Jukebox journey. Try their covers of Creep, Seven Nation Army, Don't Speak, and Dream On. Have fun!

Hi Bob! Great stuff! - Post Modern Jukebox is Scott Bradlee's (the pianist) baby, musical genius, the way he's able to take any contemporary song and make it work as a jazz number in any sub genre from 1920ies to 60ies is mind blowing. The collective of musicians they are work with many different vocalists, the greatest of them being Morgan James (Aerosmith's "Dream On", someone mentioned it already...) and Haley Reinhart, for me the best vocalist the US have to offer right now... Haley is featured on quite a few of PMJ's tracks, the one with most views, and for a reason as you'll hear, is their cover of "Creep" (114M and counting...), originally by Radiohead. I can't listen to the original anymore since I discovered Haley's stellar take on it on Scott's gorgeous arrangement:

Welcome to the PMJ rabbit hole. If you decide to dive in, I hope you have a lot of time. You will find many covers with many different musicians, instruments, singers and performers. There is a singing clown and tap dancers. The only consistent is Scott Bradlee on piano who arranges the performances and selects the performers to fit the song. I think the current PMJ record holder is "Creep" featuring Haley Reinhart. It has 114 million views. Have fun!

Love Postmodern Jukebox, introduced it to both my parents and took them to a concert that PMJ and it was one of the best nights.

IMO, Postmodern Jukebox's cover of "Dream On" is Scott Bradlee's magnum opus. It's such a stunning variation from the original that other acts are doing covers of Bradlee's cover. Other music professionals go nuts over it because it's so technically awesome, particularly Morgan James' vocals.

Always fun to listen to songs in totally different styles 🙂 I’ve heard some songs with this band before, but not this one. There are others I find more interesting and like more, but Levitating with Dua Lipa is a great song and it’s still fun to see their take on it. Thanks for your musical comments 😊

Aren't they great! PMJs jaw-dropping covers include: All About that Bass (original Meghan Trainor), and Radiohead's Creep (version featuring Haley Reinhart). Enjoy!

Hi Bob - man did you ever open Pandora’s Box! Scott Bradlee (piano) is a freaking genius at arranging. My personal favorite is Aerosmith’s “Dream On”, done as a jazz night club number. It doesn’t matter though which one you listen to - trust a fellow bandie here - you’ll *love* each and every one!

Loving seeing people find PMJ for the first time! Scott Bradlee completely changed my view of music with the team of musicians, singers and artists he put together to create amazing arrangements! :)

Bob, I really recommend diving into some of the lesser known PMJ videos too. You’ll get lots of (well-deserved) recommendations for their biggest hits, but I think you seem like someone who would really enjoy and appreciate the deep cuts too. They have over 300 covers and all of them are so good and sound so authentic to my amateur ears, and I’d love to see more videos like this from someone who has some actual expertise in that area

Scott is a genius! This is a a rabbit hole. Creep with Haylee Reinhardt, and All About That Bass with Casey Abrams and Thriller with Wayne Brady would all be a good place to go next.

You're on the edge of yet another deep rabbit hole. I really enjoy these guys. Bradlee nails it every time. You might want to check out their version of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy (Hannah Gill/ Casey Adams) and/or Dream On w/ Morgan James. Both are amazing.

Finally PMJ has arrived!
You might even want to use some of Scott Bradlee's arrangements (the piano player) for jazz band.
They are highly versatile, but always vintage reimagine songs.
Now about Haley Reinhart....

The most viewed Postmodern Jukebox song by a very large margin has been their cover of Radiohead's Creep with Haley Reinhart. One hundred fourteen million views followed by All About That Bass with ninety five million. You absolutely must hear Haley's performance of Creep.

You have to check out PMJs cover of Aerosmiths Dream On with Morgan James singing and another is a Yiddish rap version of Jason Derulos Talk Dirty To Me.

Postmodern Jukebox does quite a few of these 20's style songs Bob.

The clarinet and piano also have a bit of a "ragtime" feel.
