i first listened to this song around 6 years ago. i was 12 years old. peak awkward teenager phase, puberty, social anxiety, beginnnings of mental health issues. i remember thinking "man this song is really nice, i wonder if i'll be able to find it and experience it again in the future" and lo and behold here i am. i used to imagine an animation/animatic based off this song, and i still do. my artsy part hasnt changed. but so many things have. i am 18 now, doing great in class, bettering my health, a good social life and i love myself more than ever. 12 year old me would be proud, and this song brings me back to when that 12 year old was sad and wondering when it will get better. it did, little buddy! it's only a matter of time :)

I forget what a gift life is, so I'm just really enthusiastic.

When that happens, I get into the comments section, and I try to get everyone's attention.

Was crying to this song last year, and now, coming back to it, I never thought I'd reach this kind of happiness and comfort because of one person. It truly shows how you just got to be patient and that pieces of your life will fall in place in just a matter of time.

It’s only a matter of time till I finish my study and work to help my parents.

I’m always that one student who sits in the classroom alone after a year or a term ends just to cherish the moment of just being present and alive in that time. I don’t know why but the prospect of growing up makes me sad.
