I'm relieved I'm not the only one who thinks this is wrong. I thought it was just my problem

i see this "bridge of Progress" event more as a massive playerbased testing ground, rather than a "hey check out this final product". because while there are definitely some imbalance issues, there are a lot of new potentials here that too many people are ignoring. as you mentioned yourself in the video the speed lane has some wonky vision pockets, but that's it's purpose, it's the pocket where assassins and wet noodle fights rain supreme and squishy and immobile champions get grinded down to dust. it allows for a much larger potential champion diversity now that long range poke champions cant just always shoot from the safety of just range in a single lane, you now HAVE to watch for more angles. this IS fair for the game, at least for more champions to thrive.

also another thing to consider is ARAM was originally based on the width of midlane from SR, and since the inception of Howling Abyss, mid lane has gotten considerably wider in SR. and champions have been adjusted to that wider lane. whereas HA stays too thin and spells like Veigar cage, anivia pool, and a-sol blak hole makes or breaks games to an "unfun" level. now with the new speed lanes, all the melee champions once completely unplayable into 3+ control mages have more options to play. the difference of a player that can push vision play to the max should be rewarded, not dumbed down so that its easier for everyone. fog of war SHOULD be a skill to learn and adapt to, not complain that your skill shots are harder to land.

the poke champ only players of ARAM will DEFINITELY be the losers coming out of this change as their champions are heavily nerfed now, but i think that's a good thing.

the new pockets/corners to attack/siege towers are also a good thing specially against stall champs which are arguably the most boring comps to play against, wave clear over and over and over safely under tower till they outscale you? not anymore, you gotta dodge from much more angle, stalling wont be "easy" anymore. good. also makes Bard portals and Talon wall hops actual skills again. Not that K'sante needs the help but actually places to use his ult effectively, instead of push them a little will be nice.

the L and 2 additional smoke grates ARE the ones i agree are the worst design, considering just the raw number of champions that can abuse it (twisted fate, ryze, pantheon, zac, pyke, evelyn, twitch, khazix, shaco, teemo, akshan, qiyana, talon, and would be shocked if they keep it. but i would like to see the walls mirrored in the base, the mid brush wall is contentious since it REALLY depends on champs on which side.

Lastly, my final 2 cents: i think we'll get to see a large meta shift, where champions we hardly saw will be chosen more often now for it's viability. Kled, Rek'sai, Yorick, Hecarim, Evelyn, Elise, Naafiri, Rammus, Trundle, Olaf, Rengar, etc all benefit from these changes so far and they are some of the least played champions of ARAM, so the "safe" picks so far not being "safe" or "easy" to play anymore isn't a bad thing.

lets shake stuff up, i'm tired of "lost in champion select" let the map push our skills not whether the champion is just good on the map or not.

Zaun side has 55% win rate and Piltover side 45%. Opposite of what you saying. Maybe skill issue of majority of players and abusing stat buffs granted by destroying inhibitor of Piltover side. Idk

If they wanted to mix up the howling abyss they should just do something like dragon souls. Flip a coin either the map has extra clouds on both sides. Or extra walls on both sides. Of course you can add more later but the only way to make it work is if its equal on vorh aides and the changes are actually fun to play around.

Dude Piltover gets 15 second cooldown on summoner spells if they get inhib, their buffs are much better overall
+ the map not being centered does not make any sense

Interesting, I hadn’t thought of this. Thx for sharing. I agree they should balance it out after seeing your video. Though, I also think that unless someone knows about this unfairness and takes advantage, it’s not affecting the games much. I played 9 games on this new map earlier today and went 9-0, winning every game, playing it just like a regular Aram game in terms of not cheesing and just going through my opponents to win. I played 6 games on the Zaun side and 3 on the Piltover side. So, I was able to win on either side, telling me this unfairness you pointed out doesn’t actually affect games too much…right now that is. Maybe after a week or so things will change and people will take advantage of it and ruin it. Again though, after seeing your video, I do agree they should balance it more to prevent the possible future of ppl just taking advantage of this unfairness you caught early 👍

What were they thinking? This sucks so much. Cant wait for Howling Abyss to come back. Not only do i hate the gameplay and space changes, but the visuals...it doesn't even feel like im playing league.

with regard to being unbalanced, Twitch and Shaco, without control wards or sweepers to reveal them have a ridiculously unfair advantage. remove them from ARAM or put sweepers back in the store

I seem to get FPS dips out of nowhere on this new map. Never had the issue before with the old map. The introduction of the alcove with those speed buffs feel really weird. The buffs you get from taking health packs also feel like a win more feature.

Well fistly youve talked about that proxy is a problem and i didnt ever see or hear about anyone doing that so i decided to do some reaserch. I think that denying your team xp and gold and putting your team at a 4v5 scenario in exchange for free tower dmg is a terrible idea and you are likely going to lose even if you pull off the proxy.
Secondly i think that the walls are +/- fair for both sides and rely heavily on the champions being played while the bushes are helping the side that is being pushed on which 90% of the time in that scenario is going to be piltover. Champions like zed, kenen and fiddle are a real concern for a pushing side and giving enemy more bushes is making them more likely to turn the fights over.
Thirdly while the reset CD power is pretty strong its also champion dependent and it relies on you timing it well to get full value while other 2 buffs from other side are more reliable

This should've been a rotation game mode in another tab cause this is not ARAMs thats the problem they are calling it something is not.

I actually have a better wr on the blue side but this is true, the times that i lost on the blue was a brutal stomp. And that side line make playing against leblanc or Viego worse than before.

breh... the mode is ALL RANDOM and u going nuts about "imbalances" ? jesus these stuff are so minor. the buffs over destroying inhibitor are good, the reward of destroying inhibitor is meaningless now there is incentive to kill and to protect it.

I played 6 games yesterday. 5 blue sides and 1 red side. 4 blue sides lost and red side is an easy-win. The other one blue side game was struggling.

power ups are complete cancer. too snowbally, seriously dont know how they didnt figure out to give powerups for both sides. If piltover has hextech themed powerups, give shimmer (the violet drug from zaun)... im no developer and found a balanced situation withing 30 seconds...
