Introduction to Conditional Probability [#shorts] | What is Conditional Probability with Example

This video is an introduction to conditional probability. It shows the definition of a conditional probability using diagrams and an example in just one (1) minute!

This is another video in the series of math tutorial videos about probability. This is usually taught in class 11 (grade 11 maths) or class 12 (grade 12 maths).

The video starts with the general definition of a conditional probability. It also shows the scenarios for two events using a Venn diagram for each. The Venn diagrams show some shaded regions to denote the areas covered for the corresponding conditional probability. The fist one is the probability of A given that B or P(A|B). The second one is the probability of event B given that A, in symbols P(B|A). The conditional probability of the two events is also defined.

The next part is an example showing the complete process of finding the conditional probability of two events. The process is shown in a step-by-step manner. The process follows the specific probabilities involved in finding the conditional probability of the two given events. A conclusion/answer is made at the end of the video.

More examples on finding conditional probability will be discussed in the next video, so stay tuned.
