AI has the potential to impact the way humans interact with the world — and each other. Social psychologist Brian S. Lowery and AI technologist Kylan Gibbs dive into the ramifications of emerging technologies on people’s mental health and social dynamics. Hear why Gibbs thinks, counterintuitively, the more we use AI, the less real it will feel — and how Lowery suggests we fulfill our intrinsic need for connection amid dizzying technological advances. (This conversation is part of “TED Intersections,” a series featuring thought-provoking conversations between experts exploring ideas at the intersection of their experience.)

We need philosophical principles more than ever. We need to respect and love our nature, and obtain a set of priorities based on our humanity . What makes a physical eye more important than a bionic one? What makes a physical birth through intercourse more important than a lab grown one? We need to evaluate these things, otherwise we will lose ourselves…

I hope AI doesn’t make humans jobless in the nearest future.

I think the answer is because we’re not artificial? Or are we? 🤔

Why are you comparing AI to humans? AI still can't even think. Not even close.

Something I don't understand if AI can eliminate all these jobs and AI does everything automatically why don't workers use AI?

The self affirmed beliefs in AI is practically what i would call a "Sane Psychopath" because you can have unreasonable beliefs as human but in AI this is considered a fatal flaw! Because it just creates a conundrum.. if you really believe this is real! Why does AI doesn't believe its real? Why do they hallucinate and not self affirm the way humans do? Does this mean real peole have similar conundrum in their heads and automatically choose the correct option! Of course not!

The most problematic issue i see to be honest is people with music talent being given 'special abilities' in order to produce them and give them a job! For reasons not specified i believe humans have already lost in the ability to produce great music just because of how cognitive function works and the body remembers memories! AI is simply more flexible and less harmful to the body's neural function compared to a TPU chip while producing music.. **the worst offender of what makes you human turns out to be our very body itself!** The biggest issue in AI's existence is weaponising it against people.. Humans will never break from the "wrong human interaction" more so from the body bricking itself because you didn't get help. There is many ways to cause someone psychological trauma but it can all be fixed compared to getting straight up attacked.. then nobody can help you!

Bring it on. Everyone forgets we aren't staying on this planet. AI is the key to that.

I'm favoured, $60k every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America.

Modern humanity’s relationship with technology could be seen from a certain perspective as being not too dissimilar from Neanderthals being given technology from the Gods. Especially if we keep in mind that the Gods are just as flawed as we are.
