Why I can't stand Windows 11

Here are somethings I found right out of the box which makes Windows 11 arguably the worst upgrade I've ever had to deal with.

Not only are bugs rampant in this release, don't seem to have any updates mentioned either automatically or when searching for it, there are also feature loss which further compounds productivity issues.

Solutions to these issues seem to be vague uninstallation of services or using third party apps just to bring back normal capabilities.

Let me know what you're thoughts are on Windows 11 and if you've experienced any of these issues.

Windows 10 is alright, but 7 is by far the best. With all due respect. It’s got the highest user ratings out of all Windows systems, a lot of the other ones are like mixed bags. I’m trying to find the last DVI-I cable so I can successfully start using Windows 7 again.

Windows 11 has been a REAL headache; I regret ever even THINKING about "upgrading". Microsoft has REALLY done it and screwed up my machine countless times since I "upgraded". Thankfully I have a backup app that will mirror my system drive allowing me to restore my machine to a day when it worked "properly". SHAME ON YOU MICROSOFT for pi$$ing in my cornflakes and expecting me to love it. I never know from day to day, update to update, reboot to reboot whether my system will work or what it will break some simple function that SHOULD be included with the OS. I just recently had an update install (even though I have Windows Update service disabled and not running) which THEN killed the popup calendar when you click on the time/date area of the taskbar. Wow! Really!?!?! I'm fed up and want to go back to Windows 10. I want a refund Microcrap!!!🤬

I think something you're doing is killing file explorer. That doesn't happen for me on the multiple machines I use with windows 11.

Adding more reatures to 11 before fixing the bugs
And when they finally do release bugfixes it causes more bugs because they don't test the bugfix before releasing it

Windows is poopy these days. I took the plunge and went Linux. It’s easier to get a classic windows layout on Linux than it is on windows itself.

Once one learns how Linux works vs windows, Linux is actually quite comfy.

I actually have none of the file explorer issues you mention in the video and I have also pinned it to the taskbar.

I've never experienced any of the file explorer issues you are having on any version of W11. Countless other issues in the past, but definitely not that. It keeps crashing Explorer.exe and restarting it automatically. Looks like a corrupted install, maybe something wacky that Lenovo did, or something that happened if you upgraded in-place from W10. I would suggest wiping the disk and installing fresh. The needless UI changes are still annoying, but I've been finding W11 surprisingly stable lately.

What i hate the most is Windows 11 will install apps for you that you do not want. The whole OS also seems to be tied to trying to get you to switch to Bing and Edge... You cannot switch the OS level search to anything but Bing. Edge was pretty decent until the last couple of updates that also want to constantly ask you to install apps you don't want. Now there's a shopping discount annoying (extension?) in Edge that pops up that I never asked for.. and when I switch to a diff search engine in edge, it switches me back after an update!

I have none of the mentioned problems. The only thing that Windows 11 is making me wanna go back to 10 is that when I alt tab from Valorant to other program (like Discord, or even with Chrome) my whole computer freezes. I can move my mouse and still hear whatever is playing and even pause or play with multimedia keys, but the screen just freezes. I've seen people complaining about the issue since 2022 and I'm just going to try to fresh install this piece of crap so it can go back to normal. But I can't go back to Windows 10. I came from 7 and never liked the appearance of the 10, and after 11 I just can't go back. Wish it was just less buggy

Microsoft knows that we have no other options so everything it has done after Windows 7 has been to benefit Microsoft. I used to look forward to what's new on MacOS but I worry about new Microsoft updates because it is always something that I don't want but can not remove, disable, or refuse.
