Me when I'm an oddly specific card competition and my opponent is a Yugioh card

EMP Operative definitely should've been "Silence and Destroy a Mech". Some mechs had deathrattles, so adding the silence effect would make the EMP Operative be a catch-all remove-a-mech solution, but even then, it would've have been very good.

Why isn't the number 1 Rend Blackhand?

On your point about Crimson Expanse and its ties to Demon Hunter, I wish that Dormant was more strongly defined in its class identity. It just makes so much sense from a flavour perspective for a class with the literal mechanic of Outcast to have their minions being uninteractable for some time after they are summoned, especially given how Illidan was imprisoned (thus Dormant) for 10000 years.

Could also add Star Aligner to this list. Atleast this card is obviously a meme and its name speaks for itself

Dormant makes sense for Demon Hunters because their whole flavor is trapping the souls of demons to use them.

Words cannot describe how much I hate that Deathaxe Punisher is holding an Arcanite Reaper yet doesn't have 5 attack

Being dormant for one turn decreases the combo potential of crimson expanse in one way but in another way it makes the combo potential really strong since it guarantees the minion will be on board at the start of your next turn, allowing for >10 mana combinations before turn 10.

If EMP Operative had been 2 mana, gain +1/+1, like the entire Golakka cycle, it absolutely would have seen a ton of play in Wild over the years. There's been a LOT of metas where mechs need to die, like before Mechwarper got nerfed and, uh, right now, with Unkilliax ruining lives. In fact, if it read "silence and destroy a Mech" it would probably be playable right now at 5 mana just to counter Unkilliax (a version of Zilliax that was recently released that is incredibly sticky and hard to remove without healing your opponent for 16 or more.

I think half the time you forgot what the word 'specific' means. Both Crimson Expanse and Argent Watchman are just generically bad cards, but nothing is really 'specific' about them. Both damaged minions and hero powers are just things that happen organically in almost every match. A good fit for the list would have been Skulking Gheist, who was made specifically to target Jade Druids. Or either of the Hemet Nesingwary's (IIRC one kills a beast, and the other destroys all cards in your deck that cost 3 or less).

Ice cream peddler always sticks out to me

there's a minion that's like "Battlecry: If you're holding a 4-cost card in your hand, deal 4 damage" or something like that, which is super specific, inconsistent and unnecessary for mediocre stats

Inspire was from a time when hero powers were supposed to be a strong thing you did every couple turns. And yet half the inspire cards weren't good. It's like how joust could have been good but a lot of the pieces were built opposite how you wanted.
I'm glad to see how often MarkMckz is referenced in your videos for actual use cases. Lol

If DeathAxe Punisher wasn’t an EPIC card. Maybe Idda thought about using it in a deck cause I love love the 3/4 hound.

Currently theres a bomb deck running Crimson Expanse and Carnivorous Cubicle to summon many more copies of testing dummies and safety experts thats pretty fun to play.

Why EMP Operative over Hemet Nesingwary?

Also shocked Ice Cream Vendor isn't even on the list. That card's like the king of overly specific trigger conditions.

A few other cards:
Rend Blackhand - battlecry: if you're holding a dragon, destroy a legendary minion
Defias Cleaner - battlecry: silence a minion with deathrattle
Grimtotem Bounty Hunter - battlecry: destroy an enemy legendary minion
Lil' Exorcist - battlecry: gain +1/+1 for each enemy deathrattle minion
Grimtotem Buzzkill - battlecry: discard a weapon to draw 3 cards
Ice Cream Peddler - battlecry: if you control a frozen minion, gain 8 armor
Bayfin Bodybuilder - after a minion is summoned for your opponent on your turn, silence and destroy it
Fight Promoter - battlecry: if you control a minion with 6 or more health, draw 2 cards
Selfless Sidekick - battlecry: equip a random weapon from your deck
Wicked Skeleton - battlecry: gain +1/+1 for each minion that died this turn

I don't think any of these cards saw play when they were in standard, but I could be wrong

One I was surprised not to see on here is Dragonslayer, a neutral 3 mana 4/3 common from K&C with Battlecry: Deal 6 damage to a Dragon and the flavor text "A pair of stout dwarves nearly averted the Cataclysm."

While Furnace elemental is weird, Warrior got Forge of Souls in the same set I believe, and and Charge also existed in wild. While not consistent I remembet it being a funny otk
