A lot - maybe too much - has changed in The Promised Neverland Season 2. Manga-fan-favourite characters are missing, and a dicey Anime-Original ending is looming, but could it still be good?

0:00 Intro & Chibi Chop shop

The Promised Neverland is working well as a manga advertisement, because now I want to go read the manga

I was actually kinda hoping they would change the events of the story a bit but so far the anime has been a prime example of pressing the Upgrade button and going "FUCK GO BACK!"

"Cope or Hope?"
I choose the third option: NOPE.

This video hurts a lot more given the slideshow shitshow we got from this season's finale.

TPN manga: Yeah, kinda rushed it at the end there, sorry about that.
TPN anime: *Chucks its beer at the manga from behind the wheel of a speeding car*

I'm sorry, but Goldie Pond was THE arc that kept me waiting for season 2. The moment they arrived to the bunker and my husbando wasn't there, my heart skipped a beat. When they were in the temple and didn't explain the 7 walls (which also Musica didn't mention either) my heart skipped a beat. When they found Norman, my heart also skipped several beats, because at that moment I knew I had been betrayed.

I like how the studio somehow came to the conclusion that they needed to cut *the most popular arc* from Season 2

My thoughts on the direction of anime right now: The train has derailed and is on fire but I still want to see whether it explodes or just crashes safely into the snow.

If they had just left Goldy pond in AND THEN altered the story nobody would have been angry

Well, it’s over... they really made a montage of an entire arc in the last 5 minutes and called it a day...

When you gotta rationalize that this is a parallel universe to justify why so much content has been skipped, you know your adaptation has gone off the rails

Goldy Pond out of any arc would have benefitted the most from being animated with it's high amount of action.

Tokyo Ghoul & The Promised Neverland Anime Story Writers:
"Wow guys. We did it. Everyone really loved season one. They must really love the creator's original work. Well since they love it so much, maybe we should change some things. Or two. Or more. You know what? How about we skip like. Over 50 chapters and leave the fanbase confused and angry. That sounds like it'll go really well."

I'm back here after watching the finale of season 2. I don't read manga at all, so I was able to enjoy it for what it was. Then they just tossed what should've been season 3 up in a two minute montage at the end. I'm pissed to say the least

I was so hype and now people are talking about how they messed up the show so badly 😔

I still can’t cope w the fact that they completely cut the Goldy Pond arc. I was really looking forward to seeing Yuugo and Lewis animated

I’m still optimistic
they can fix this
It’ll be okay
It’ll be okay

I love how this season has everyone fucked up to the point they're pulling crazy ass theories out their ass to justify it. Be real man, they just botched the season. It isnt some 4D chess move.

I hope Geoff does a video on Horimiya, has got to be the most efficient romcom ever. No misunderstandings, people actually talk to each other, very nice, very wholesome.
