In this AP Daily: Live Review session for AP Statistics, we will discuss strategies for success on AP Statistics Exam questions involving inference for categorical data.

We will focus on simplifying challenging content, including: constructing and interpreting a confidence interval for a proportion; determining the sample size needed for a specified margin of error; interpreting a p-value; statistical significance; power; and calculating a chi-square test statistic. We will also review critical skills and strategies for exam success, including: using the formula sheet to simplify challenging questions about confidence intervals; and showing appropriate work on free-response questions that require a confidence interval (identify inference procedure, verify conditions, correct mechanics, and interpret).
