DIY Home Termite Treatment - Long Lasting

Показать описание
Doc puts his first home termite treatment on the new farm house property.  Termites can attack very quickly and the damage can be severe but seldom do we think about termite damage.  This treatment will take a few hours of time but will last for many years.  Unlike termite baits or repellants, this product is designed to quietly kill the termites when they come in contact with it.

I’ve contemplated burying drip irrigation on the perimeter where you can add the chemical in line with the water, so you don’t have to dig each application

I contracted Terminix for my termites prevention. They also check your home in areas where you would not believe . Good luck doc and thanks for these videos man.

I did the same thing to my house in 2020. I just go in the crawl space once every 6 months to check for mud tunnels. So far it works great! But you are correct, it's A LOT of digging.

Hey Doc, This is a good video, how to treat for termites.

And you are right about the damage termites can cause to a house in short period of time.

In the past year I have found termite damage in the outside walls of two bathrooms (wall between bathrooms too), three bed rooms, in the attic and two trees.

I will get the termite product you recommend. Dig a trench around the house and follow your directions as shown in the video.

And its awesome to see you got grass seed germination.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge to help us protect our house and lawns!!!
thx, tommy

This is a good example of the importance of getting multiple bids or opinions. Most professional outfits will complete an inspection and give you a price for free, so you should get at least 3 options.

Can I use this on the three sides and get the desired results since the fourth side is a concrete driveway?

Does this work for treating wood? Say for a larger shed ? Just the bottom joist around the edge of the shed. I’d also tear the soil. Saw a few termites in a piece in a large limb that fell a while back in that area. Just wanna protect the shed as much as possible

Have you thought about making this farmhouse into an abandoned reno series? Those kinds of videos are killing it on YouTube right now.

Hey Doc. I tried visiting the site but it says to "turn my VPN off", but I don't have a VPN I just live in another part of the world (the Caribbean). Can you tell me the name of the product, maybe I can find it elsewhere?

Not kidding you when we built our house our construction guys found a pair of boots when they dug some of the foundation up. The most random crap gets buried haha

Looks like the backyard is doing better! Do you still expect to overseed it?

So I am a first time home buyer (brick house). I have found that two sides of this house are always wet because it never gets sun. Does it have to dry? Also, I also have a lot of crap in my yard and as I’ve started digging, I have found all several extra bricks from the house being laid along the house itself, like under gutters, and weak spots the gutters don’t catch, do I have to remove those? If I build a raised bed along the house to help with elevation and drainage do I have to dig that far down?
Is there an email address that I could use for further questions on specific issues? I saw nothing on the website.

Hey Doc, greetings from Miami Florida. 🌞⛱️ My house was built off the ground and therefore has a crawl space... would I have to dig a trench inside the crawl space also, or would outside (all around the house) be enough to suffice?

Learning a lot about how to take care of my home, and especially about grass, from you, lol. Thank you for sharing all this valuable information with us.

Doc I have a question. How do you keep Bermuda grass from spreading into your land scaling and your flower beds.

Hey DOC!! I’m not sure if my question will be answered as I know you have bigger fish to fry…lol
I am remodelling my mothers kitchen and there is a lot of termite damage. The gentleman that’s working on the house don’t know anything about what chemicals to use or how to treat the infestation as he goes. Should I have someone dig a trench and complete the process in your video? Or do I need to start somewhere else?
We have call two termite professionals but the won’t treat the house, when the home was rebuilt after Katrina, foam was sprayed under the entire house. Therefore no one will treat it because they can’t guarantee their work.
Can you please give me some guidance. Thanks in advance for all your help.
