Appreciate your take. We gave it a 4/5. It’s really a 3/5 but our love for king boosted it one point. It felt like he got bored and said hey I should write a murder mystery. Overall though we enjoyed the ride. Really liked Holly and Luvie lol.

This read like King had a great idea for a book but not good ideas on how it should end. HBO turned this into a 5 or 6 part series but it also suffered from a boogeyman’s the culprit ending, not so good. Well done as always

I was disappointed too at first by the supernatural aspect but then I just went with it and I really enjoyed it. And I was very happy to see the character of Holy again after the mr Mercedes trilogy. ( sorry for my bad English, it’s not my first language 😅)

This is a great setup, but he needed to go the cosmic horror reality bending route rather than the comic book boogeyman monster route.
