May is a good time to come up here. Warming up but not hot. Still below 0c at night here in the end of March in northern Alberta. Bloody ridiculous. Had snow again yesterday. Still 2 feet of snow on the ground. Never come up before atleast mid April lol.

Speaking of stick-on foods, I stick freeze dried bloodworms to the side. Keeps them from going all over the place. My fish go crazy for them!

Man. Those red dragons are SO gorgeous. I found a nice red dragon dumbo boy at my LFS (unfortunately he has a smallish tail but he's still gorgeous). I'm super excited to get my little mutt tank up and running. Still toying with do I order more fish to get my tank hopping faster or if I just let my little trio pop out babies slowly till I have a decent population. I'm kinda leaning toward getting more genetic diversity right away with a few more trios.

I'd die to be able to have a big fish room like yours. For the time being I had to argue with my husband about how I needed a quarantine tank. Lol.

Hey Michael I was wondering if you could answer a question for me I’ve been watching a YouTube channel called father fish and he says to cycle a tank use rocks and leaves from a lake or pond and this is one of the best ways to cycle an aquarium do I really need to do this or can I just cycle the tank for 4-6 weeks and add fish food for the ammonia ?
