Fun fact, Hulk managed to lift it at some point because of pure rage and raw power. He's the only person who has lifted it without being worthy.

The forged in a dying star thing is a very common misconception. It's not made OF a dying star. It was made IN a dying star. Uru has properties that require the type of heat only a star can give off.

It was forged in the heart of dying star, it wasnt made of it.

The reason why no one can pick up Mjolnir was because Odin put a spell on it, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Cap was the only one able to lift a hammer even though he's no god. As for Jane, Thor asked the hammer to protect her.

The hammer couldn't be as heavy as 300 billion elephants because if it was it would fall straight through floors which it doesn't.

I like the idea that the hammer is never actively avoiding to be moved, it just presents itself much more light when touched by a worthy living being.

Forged “in” the heart of a dying star. It’s not made of the heart. If Neil was right, I doubt the table it’s sitting on in Avengers 2 could handle 300M elephants. Or the helicarrier in Avengers 1

Look this metal cup I have is made by using lava's heat
Neil : Then it must weigh like a mountain.

Funny thing: in actual Norse mythology, it’s not a matter of being worthy to pick up mjolnir, it was just really heavy

The hammer is not heavy at all it can be lifted by any average human. But hulk could not carry it because it has a special spell by odin which enables only worthy people to pick it up but it is different in some cases.

Captain America could pick it up…as Thor watched…he grabbed the handle, moved it, then decided “not” to lift it. I just don’t remember the movie that scene was from…but all the marvel hero’s were in it.

Just because its forged in a dying star doesn't mean it would be that heavy. Thats like saying a sword forged in my grandfathers forge would weigh as much as the forge itself.

Why 300, 000, 000 elephants? 🐘
They can vary in size, and with 3 million of them that would leave quite a large margin. I feel like the question was answered but very vaguely.

The cards also said wolverine had super strength and could lift 400lb

I’m gonna put nerd that nerd. That’s the comics version. The comics version has it where the hammer gets heavier & heavier the longer you try to hold it. The MCU has it where if you are worthy you can pick it up. If you ain’t worthy, than you can’t pick it up.

it was forged by Brokr and Sindre with the help of magic and it wasnt forged in a star

he did the calculations with the only data that it weighs as much as a neutron star

You can both be right. If you are a person who is not worthy then it weighs the same amount of weight equal a herd of 300 million elephants. But if you are worthy then it weighs 42.3 pounds. And since Thor can pick up to 100 tons then 42.3 pounds is nothing.
