Hi Johi. Thanks for reacting to another band of sisters that I really love! Larkin Poe was a Bluegrass band, formed by three sisters. One of them left so they become a duo (Rebeca and Megan Lovell) and started moving to blues and Rock, still using bluegrass instruments. In this case you have the mandolin (Rebeca is also an excellent guitar player) and a Lap steel guitar played by Megan, who uses to play Dobro also. After some disapointment with Rock music, I turned myself to Bluegrass, wich I love. The Warning got me back to Rock and Roll. So, here are two suggestions for you.

I think you're looking for the terms "haunting" and "ethereal" especially describing Megan's slide work. They did collaborate with Norwegian, Thom Hell in 2013 The Sound of the Ocean. Yes, performed in the chapel of an old convent. Rebecca's vocals are very passionate. Megan's slide sounds a little like something from David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Very original and creative. It's also their most requested song live.

2 very talented sisters, great vocals. The name Larkin Poe is taken from
a great great grandfather of theirs i believe. *trivia* Larkin and Poe are
2 characters from the movie Con-Air which has totally nothing to do
with these two talented ladies :)

I am big fan of Larkin Poe. Excellent "root" or "Americana" music. They really play blues, rock, blue grass and even country. Such a talented pair of sisters who do a lot of videos with just the two of them but as you can see they play with a full band as well.
