As a PS4 owner theres no point in 4K (Yet) because I dont want 4K 30FPS on low to medium setting when ALL developers shouldve just focused on 1080P 60FPS High to ULTRA settings on the PRO!

Many Xbox Fanboys dont realize that Sony couldve easily made a 6 teraflop console, but they didnt because they wanted the ps4 pro to be cheap and affordable, also its not meant to be a new gen console, its just an upgraded ps4 . Xbox Scorpio will be a lot more expensive than PS4 Pro. PS4 Pro's cheaper price is a major advantage, Xbox Scorpio wont release till 14 months, so that is another major advantage for the ps4 pro, and by the time scorpio comes out, many gamers will already own a ps4 pro.

What I noticed:
PS4 Neo: Many people hyped for the rumored 1080p 60FPS console. Many gamers can't wait for the announcement.

Later when it was announced.
PS4 Pro: Much less hype for a 4k 30FPS console. Performance is still crap.

If you can't get 1080p 60FPS, why'd they even bother with an upgrade?

Imagine upgrading your CPU and GPU, your settings are still locked at 30FPS. What sense does that make? There should be a complete Vsync unlock on this console.
If it is "pro", give me the true gaming experience at 60FPS that us PC players have known for years.

What happened to "for the players" Sony?

Overall I still think it's still worth the purchase in the end for those who never owned a PS4. But it's nowhere near as good as it was thought to be. No "pro" found. Upgradable consoles was a good attempt to me but they got the priorities and what fans want wrong. Could've easily got good quality gameplay experiences for once.

I will be looking forward to the "pro" still only because I think it's an interesting concept.

For the rest of us sick of the poor performance on console gaming, you know where we are.

HDR is simply incredible. I compared a 1080p OLED HDR TV to a 4K (non-HDR) TV yesterday. The 1080p TV looked so much better and so much more lifelike than the 4K TV. No comparison in fact.
I'd imagine a 4K HDR OLED screen would be pretty jaw dropping, yet to find one though.
I notice that this video already has one dislike. It is 27 minutes long and was only released 5 minutes ago. Wtf?!

I still can't warp around how PS4 Pro could ever compete with a PC despite what Sony said. I mean people who game on PC prefer freedom. I don't think console can ever offer that. Restriction is like their life blood.

I"m still debating whether to keep my current PS4 for playing FFXV or if I should purchase a Pro for the best FFXV experience. I don't have a 4K HDTV btw.

thing is that ps4 pro is very cheap for what you get. a similarly speced pc would cost €200 more in germany

Personally I don't expect console gaming to be able to output at native 4K; let alone with HDR and 60 fps or more.
4K TVs are expensive as they are, and ones with HDR even more so.

But with things like PS4 Pro and Scorpio.

I think it's more important overall to reach 1080p native and steady 60 fps for gaming *at least*.

And things like PS4 Pro and Scorpio is, at least, a bump up across the board from the standard version of the consoles. I think that's enough for 99% of the gamers.

And if you don't have like a large 50" display and some sort of crazy, elaborate audio system, you won't really notice these minor discrepancies from "checker boarding".

Also, no one is going to be just standing still in the game and then stare at the screen right up close. If the games can run well and look good while playing, I think most people will be happy enough.
