EU sanctions Belarus for arresting journalist in Ryanair ‘hijacking'

The government of Belarus on Sunday forced an international civilian plane flying over its airspace to land to arrest a passenger, a dissident Belorussian blogger. The move was widely condemned in the United States and in Europe.
