As someone that grew up with two older Se dom brothers (an ESTP and ESFP) and me being an Ne dom(ENTP). It is very interesting how Se is very misunderstood on the MBTI community. Yes, they love physicality and can be very physical, but most of the time they aren't like that. Instead, you can see the both Se and Ni working in conjunction all the time. I think they are the ones that naturally are the most able to use all functions, or at least you can very easily see them from the outside. Because everything that is inside is often showed outwardly in one way or another(mostly through action but also spoken). They love discussing their Ni, only problem is that since it is their inferior is that they will jump to conclusions fast because they want to act now. So Ni sees an opportunity and precisely at that moment they have to seize it, and then they pay for it because it wasn't either the best decision or because they acted so impulsively it did not have the best result. Thankfully, since they use all their functions so often and so aggressively, the older they get the better they get at them. So it is awesome because you can see them grow as a person and having this perseverance. They are the true definition of learning via trial and error, and because they are not afraid to try, be active and fail, the older they get the wiser they are and the more you can see how their methods actually paid off.

So Se doms can be very much like the stereotypes, specially growing up, but because they mess up so much they also learn so much. So you can see the drastic growth they get in life until they end up being very experienced and wise people. Now my older brother, who used to be the stereotypical ESTP, now he is one of the kindest, most charismatic, down to earth, wise, responsible and thoughtful people I know. My ESFP brother who used to be a mess, like real mess, he even escaped our household when he was 16 to go live for three years on another city. I see the exact same growth going on for him, not exactly the same as my ESTP brother because the functions are clearly different, but he no longer is like any ESFP stereotype out there.

There the most mixed up functions of all time that confuse people, people need to see that both care the outer world. Where as Ne cares about possibilities in the outside world and is future oriented and Se cares about details in the outer world and lives in the moment.

Another great video!

Se and Ne definitions are sadly missing their axis pairings, which are critical for full understanding. I’m amazed at just how content our community is with the incomplete picture of Se in particular. There’s so much more intent than people realize. It isn’t just about thrill and experience, but also about impact and purpose. It fuels Ni with the data and proof it needs to be as sound as possible.

Is it possible to say that Ne, when studying something, is often distracted by random knowledge that they may not even need in life, in an attempt to fill themselves with information? While Se often study only what they need, without being distracted by information that does not concern them and their specific curiosity.

What I don’t really understand is the description of Ne. Sometimes it sounds like they don’t want to have some physical experiences, for example traveling. But I don’t know if it’s true.
I think I am a Ne user who seeks new knowledge all the time but at the same time I want to explore this world as well and see different places and get to know them better. Also I want to do go to restaurants sometimes with people I like.
So how exactly is this meant? It would be nice if you could answer.

I’m curious how the Ne connects to Ni/Se, because some of the enfp look like they have Ni/Se. I know Ni in enfp is usually only in their dreams. And they don’t interpret it consciously. They take it as an uninterpretable dream image.
